Following the Signs from Spirit

I was teaching a yoga class in a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows. As everyone rested in relaxation pose, I looked to my left and met the gaze of a black cat. He stared at me for a few seconds, then walked off. I was in my first year of Shamanic training and had completed the direction of the West, and working with the power animal of the Jaguar. The jaguar is the power animal of the indigenous tribes in Peru. It represents power, protection, courage and majesty.

I knew my power animal visited me as a nod from the Spiritual realm that they were present on my journey. That was about a decade ago, and since then the signs from spirit continue daily. It may be as simple as a thought of "I will be treated with respect" and my cell phone will ding with an incoming message. I pay attention to my thoughts and then witness what is around me as confirmation to the idea or thought.

The messages and signs from Spirit are all around us and manifest for us to know we are not alone. The messages may show up on as pictures or words on trucks, license plates or billboards. They may show up as repeating numbers, animals, songs and lyrics or a piece of a conversation overhead by passers by. The messages are all around us and take shape so we know this path of life has guides and messengers. The quieter we become, the more we see, sense and hear these messages. Nature abounds with signs, if we step into the realm of the natural world.
