Background

Since I was a child, I was drawn to nature and healing. I’d often go to healers when in despair and find grace and peace afterwards. In my forties, after having two children, I found a deep calling to heal a traumatic wound. Therapy sessions were not enough to fill this deep chasm of depression. Yoga was a path towards healing and in 2004, I began my yoga certification classes, which then led me to trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness.

During a challenging time in my life, I worked with a Shaman to heal deep rooted trauma. In 2013, I enrolled with The Four Winds Light Body School and studied and practiced Shamanism. Throughout the course of my studies, I was healing, transforming and becoming who I was meant to be, not whom I was told to be.

I continue to study and practice both yoga and Shamanism. I recently received Reiki certification and will continue on that path as well. The more challenging life becomes, whether from outside influences of our current times, or within my inner circle, the more I embody and embrace the teachings and practices that bring joy and love into my life.

Below is a list of the schools and some of the trainings and teachers I have engaged with on my journey towards becoming a healer.
